Team Building @ ACM IMX 2025 – Let’s Break the Ice! – June 3rd 6:30pm
To kick off ACM IMX 2025 with creativity, energy and connection, we’re inviting all participants to take part in a fun, 30-minute team building activity on the first day of the conference – just before the welcome cocktail!
What’s the challenge?
In this dynamic and inclusive session, participants will learn the basic steps of samba, one of Brazil’s most iconic and energetic dance styles, guided by professional dancers — focused not on perfection, but on team spirit, rhythm, and fun!
Expect loud cheers, joyful competition, and maybe even a spontaneous samba-off!
Networking and fun are 100% guaranteed. Let the rhythm guide you, connect through movement, and celebrate the vibrant IMX community – one samba step at a time!

Welcome Cocktail at the NAB Building Rooftop – June 3rd 7pm
After the Samba Spirit Challenge, we would like to welcome you to the opening cocktail of IMX 2025 on the NAB Building rooftop at UFF with an astonishing view of Rio de Janeiro.
Brazilian famous caipirinhas, beer and fresh non-alcoholic beverages will be available with delicious finger food for the IMX community to get together.

Conference Dinner at the Museum of Contemporary Art – June 5th 7:30pm
A symbol of the city of Niterói, a national heritage site and considered one of the architectural wonders of the world, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói (MAC) was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and is one of the city’s landmarks.
Located at Mirante da Boa Viagem, on the Niterói waterfront, MAC has a futuristic façade that offers visitors a 360-degree panoramic view of the Guanabara Bay, Rio de Janeiro and Niterói. MAC is also part of Caminho Niemeyer, the artist’s second largest architectural complex in Brazil. The dinner will take place at the Bistrô MAC (https://www.instagram.com/bistromac/).

Social Event in Rio de Janeiro – June 6th – 12pm
On the last day of the conference, we will be happy to take participants to a city tour in Rio de Janeiro, where we will check famous landmarks as the Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer, Maracanã Stadium, Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, followed by a Brazilian-style all-you-can-eat barbecue in Rio Brasa (https://www.riobrasa.com.br/) in Lagoa neighborhood.

Welcome Reception
We would like to welcome you to the opening reception of IMX 2024 in Stockholm hosted by Ericsson. This event will take place in the Open Box area in the Ericsson headquarters building. We will be happy to serve light snacks along with beer, wine, and alcohol-free alternatives. You are free to mingle with Ericsson engineers and researchers with an interest in immersive technology. During the evening select Ericsson projects and teams will present their work and be available to answer questions.
Ericsson is a leader in mobile communications, low latency networking and interactive media. We are happy for this opportunity to support the IMX community and engage in discussions on topics of common interest.
Conference Dinner
The evening event on Thursday will be in the centre of town, at Venue81 on Drottninggatan.
There will be bus transport from the conference venue in Kista leaving at 18:00 – or you can make your own way there on the subway (central station, Sergels Torg exit at Åhléns takes you out right on Drottninggatan – then just walk 10 minutes up past the Bio Skandia cinema, the Playhouse Theatre, the Best Western Hotel Bentleys until you cross Kammakargatan and the venue will be on your left).
We will start with a welcome drink, learn a traditional Swedish song or two, and have a traditional midsummer buffet.
The venue will close at 11pm – the subway will continue to operate until the last train for Akalla (stopping at Kista, where the venue is) leaves at 12:59 on the Blue No.11 line. If you miss that, the 197 bus to Sollentuna station runs at least once an hour until 5am. The subway and busses take contactless credit card payment at the turnstile or driver-entrance, tickets can also be purchased on the SL app.
Uber, Bolt, and CabOnline app services to book Taxi services work well in Stockholm – when taking cabs on the street, be careful to take a reputable company (Taxi Stockholm, Taxi Kurir, Sverigetaxi) as unregulated taxis can legally charge any rate on the meter.
