The ACM International Conference on Interactive Media Experiences (IMX) is the leading international conference for presentation and discussion of research into interactive media experiences. It brings together researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, from human-computer interaction, multimedia engineering and design, to media studies, media psychology and sociology.

that will be hosted at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), in the city of Niterói, in a short-distance to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from June 3rd to 6th, 2025. This is the first time the conference will happen in the Southern Hemisphere and the first time in Latin America. IMX has been expanding its frontiers in recent years, promoting diversity and inclusion. IMX 2025 in Rio represents a unique opportunity to integrate our community and advance interactive media experiences together.

Founded in 1960, Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) is a public institution, part of the Brazilian federal higher education system. Its headquarters are located in the city of Niterói and its campuses can be found in various parts of the state of Rio de Janeiro, as a result of a strong decentralization policy.
