Presentation guidelines

ACM IMX 2026 will be an in-person event predominantly; however we are aware due to challenges to some authors around the world so we will be support both in-person and remote presentation (to a basic level). Any questions please contact general general@imx.acm.org – Depending on your paper track, please see some  details for ACM IMX 2026 below.

Presentation format (all sessions)

Every in-person attendee (for all IMX2026 tracks) will present on the main conference stage.  Details below outline the presentation format guidelines. 

Presentation Format:

  • PowerPoint file format(s) preferred; PDF slides also acceptable
  • Aspect ratio 16:9
  • On the first slide, it is recommended that authors introduce themselves, their affiliation, and the paper title.

Poster format & Information:

  • 1 page poster in landscape format.
  • You do not need to print a poster.
  • At the physical conference venue, each poster is shown on a TV screen.
  • If presenting a poster, you will need to bring your laptop (which has HDMI port) and you will share your poster on a TV screen that we will make available to you. If you do not have a laptop for this, please contact general@imx.acm.org  by 04.06.2026 (very limited support possibilities here).
Paper track

Presentation Guidelines:

Oral sessions are to be run at the main conference stage. 

  • Each paper will have 10 minutes to present followed by Q&A (5 mins).
  • The deadline for submission of your ppt file is 04.06.2026.
Demo track

Presentation Guidelines:

Oral lightning pitches will be presented. You will present your pitch at the main stage.

  • Submit two files:
    • Each paper will have 1 minute to pitch their demo paper.
    • For the poster session, we require a one-page poster in landscape format.
  • Deadline for submission of your ppt file and your poster is 04.06.2026.
Work in Progress track

Presentation Guidelines:

Oral lightning pitches will be presented on the main stage.

  • Submit two files:
    • Each paper will have 1 minute to pitch their paper.
    • For the poster session, we require a one-page poster in landscape format.
  • Deadline for submission of your ppt file and your poster is 04.06.2026.
Doctoral consortium track

Presentation Guidelines:

Oral lightning pitches will be presented at the conference during the DC session. 

  • Submit two files:
    • Each paper will have 3 minutes to pitch their DS proposal.
    • For the DC poster session, we require a one-page poster in landscape format.

Deadline for submission of your ppt file and your poster is 04.06.2026.
