  • Orientation: June 8th, 2026 (mandatory)
  • Conference dates: June 9th – 11th, 2026
  • Location: Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone, Ireland

Becoming a Student Volunteer (SV) at ACM IMX 2026 is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience at an international conference while connecting with researchers, industry professionals, and fellow students from around the world. We accept Student Volunteers for in-person participation only. Remote volunteering is not available.

⚠️  The SV registration does not cover ACM Digital Library publication fees.
⚠️ Travel and accommodation are not covered by the SV program, but you can apply for the Gary Marsden Travel Awards (GMTA) for financial support.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate, master’s, or PhD student between January – May 2026
  • Graduating students during this period are also eligible

No prior experience is required! We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly individuals.

Responsibilities

Student Volunteers are expected to:

  • Attend the orientation session
  • Contribute 8–12 hours during the conference
  • Assist with tasks such as:
      • Basic technical support
      • Session coordination
      • Discussion monitoring
  • Be punctual, professional, and helpful

  • Students should complete the following form before the 30th of April 2026.

Applicants will receive an early-bird registration code, valid for one week after decisions are announced.

Visa Support

Applicants who require a visa are encouraged to indicate this in their application. We aim to prioritise and expedite decisions for visa applicants where possible, to support timely visa arrangements. Email the student volunteer chairs once you submit your application.
