SENSE XR
Workshop Website: https://sense-xr-imx.com/
SenseXR 2026 explores how immersive and interactive media experiences can support clinical diagnostics, remote rehabilitation, and long-term therapy and recovery.
We bring together researchers, clinicians, and industry practitioners who design or evaluate XR systems for healthcare, with a particular interest in sensor-driven approaches. The workshop welcomes works that design or evaluate XR experiences for diagnostics and rehabilitation, connect sensor data with interaction, feedback, and patient outcomes, or addresse usability, accessibility, ethics, and deployment in clinical contexts.
Topics of interest
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Motion & interaction sensing (motion tracking, inertial sensors, force/flex)
- Electromyography (EMG)
- Heart rate & PPG
- Eye tracking
- Other physiological or behavioral signals
Workshop Format
The workshop will be an on-site event, co-located with ACM IMX 2026.
Type of submissions/contributions that will be solicited:
- Position papers – early concepts, critical perspectives, or methodological reflections (up to 3 pages)
- Demo and poster papers – prototypes, toolkits, datasets, demonstrators, or ongoing work suitable for a demo/poster (up to 3 pages + 1 page for references)
