Note workshop organizers need to be on-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"imx-2022\">IMX 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ACM International Conference on Interactive Media Experiences (IMX) is the leading international conference for presentation and discussion of research into interactive media experiences. The conference brings together international researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, ranging from human-computer interaction, multimedia engineering and design to media studies, media psychology and sociology. IMX 2023 will be hosted by Nantes University (France) between the 13th and 16th June 2023. Find out more at <a href=\"https:\/\/imx.acm.org\/2023\/\">https:\/\/imx.acm.org\/2023\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-are-workshops-at-imx-2022\">What are Workshops at IMX 2023?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>IMX workshops provide an informal setting where participants have the opportunity to discuss familiar and novel topics in an atmosphere that fosters active engagement and exchange of ideas. Workshops are expected to generate ideas that enable the IMX community to explore new, organized ways of thinking about specific topics, and emerging areas or that result in promising directions for future research. The theme of IMX 2023 is Imaginary in Motion: we especially welcome workshops incorporating this aspect in a novel manner.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workshops will be held on the first day of the ACM IMX 2023 conference (June 13, 2023) and can either be a half or full day in length. Workshop organizers may consider including a short tutorial as part of the program but are strongly encouraged to dedicate at least half of the time for discussion, interaction, or creative exercises. We suggest each workshop limit participation numbers to 30-40 attendees (including organizers) to further foster a truly interactive experience. The workshop organizers will also have the possibility to exhibit workshop results during one of the poster sessions at the main conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>ACM IMX 2023 organizers specifically welcome workshops that will include attendees from diverse backgrounds and address issues related to inclusivity and accessibility in Immersive and Interactive Media.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite potential workshop organizers to submit their proposal by <s>December 15, 2022<\/s> January 3, 2023 in PDF format. The maximum length of the proposal should not exceed 2,000 words. Proposals should address all of the following points:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Title, aims and scope of the workshop.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Format and duration (full or half day), draft schedule indicating which kinds of sessions you intend to include (keynote\/technical session\/poster\/demo).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type(s) of submissions\/contributions that will be solicited.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A list of likely contributors (e.g., authors, keynote speakers, panel participants) and target audience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A draft of the Call for Contributions including title, description, topics and important dates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plans for disseminating the call for contributions and attracting participants (e.g., list of institutions, research projects or communities which are affiliated with the workshop, and from which you expect contributions).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short bios (200 words) of the organizers including their affiliations and relevant experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional: title and abstract of potential contributors, keynotes, panelists.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizers of accepted workshops are responsible for setting up a workshop website. They may ask any kind of contribution to be submitted by workshop participants in advance (e.g. full papers, short papers, posters, demonstrators, videos, datasets, challenges). Workshop organizers are responsible for setting up a submission system and for organizing the review process. There is a possibility of setting up the submission system together with the main conference. Please indicate in the proposal if you are interested in this option.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All workshop proposals will be rigorously evaluated with respect to their quality, relevance, diversity of thought and suitability for the conference.
