Mentors will advise on how to structure papers, give editorial tips, and proofread submissions. They will not, however, offer opinions on methodology or the ideas being presented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Mentoring program is specifically geared towards&nbsp; the Papers track and the Work-in-Progress track with the goal of helping researchers who need additional support with their submission.&nbsp; Please note that this program primarily targets individuals who are:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Non-native English speakers; OR<\/li><li>New to submitting an academic paper; OR<\/li><li>Facing adverse circumstances (e.g., a disability or personal circumstances which impact upon the paper preparation process); OR&nbsp;<\/li><li>Seeking additional input for a particularly novel submission.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We will&nbsp; match you with an experienced researcher who can provide feedback and support on the presentation of your submission. More specifically, those receiving mentoring will be offered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An opportunity for feedback over a video call with their mentor.<\/li><li>A commented draft per each feedback session.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"key-facts\">Key Facts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadlines for applying for mentoring (paper track):&nbsp; <meta charset=\"utf-8\"><strong><span style=\"color: #e63095;\">09\/01\/2022<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadlines for applying for mentoring (work in progress track): <meta charset=\"utf-8\"><strong><span style=\"color: #e63095;\">TBD<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for mentoring can be made by email to the diversity chairs at <a href=\"mailto:diversity@imx2022.com\">diversity@imx2022.com<\/a>. Applications do not need to be in any special format. However, it can be helpful in finding the right mentor if you include some information about your paper topic when applying.
