Please indicate your preference in the proposal.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"imx-2022\">IMX 2022<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ACM International Conference on Interactive Media Experiences (IMX) is the leading international conference for presentation and discussion of research into interactive media experiences. The conference brings together international researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, ranging from human-computer interaction, multimedia engineering and design to media studies, media psychology and sociology. IMX 2022 will be hosted by the University of Aveiro (Portugal) between the 22nd and 24th June 2022. Find out more at <a href=\"https:\/\/imx.acm.org\/2022\/\">https:\/\/imx.acm.org\/2022\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-are-workshops-at-imx-2022\">What are Workshops at IMX 2022?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>IMX workshops provide an informal setting where participants have the opportunity to discuss familiar and novel topics in an atmosphere that fosters active engagement and exchange of ideas. Workshops are expected to generate ideas that enable the IMX community to explore new, organized ways of thinking about specific topics, and emerging areas or that result in promising directions for future research.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workshops will be held on the first day of the ACM IMX 2022 conference (<strong>June 22nd, 2022<\/strong>) and can either be a half or full day in length. Workshop organizers may consider including a short tutorial as part of the program but are strongly encouraged to dedicate at least half of the time for discussion, interaction, or creative exercises. We suggest each workshop limit participation numbers to 30-40 attendees (including organizers) to further foster a truly interactive experience. The workshop organizers will also have the possibility to exhibit workshop results during one of the poster sessions at the main conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>ACM IMX 2022 organizers specifically welcome workshops that will include attendees from diverse backgrounds and address issues related to inclusivity and accessibility in Immersive and Interactive Media.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite potential workshop organizers to submit their proposal by <strong>November 22nd, 2021<\/strong> in pdf format. The maximum length of the proposal should not exceed 2,000 words. Proposals should address all of the following points:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Title, aims and scope of the workshop.<\/li><li>Format and duration (full or half day), draft schedule indicating which kinds of sessions you intend to include.<\/li><li>Type(s) of submissions\/contributions that will be solicited.<\/li><li>A draft of the Call for Contributions including title, description, topics and important dates.<\/li><li>Plans for disseminating the call for contributions and attracting participants (e.g., list of institutions, research projects or communities which are affiliated with the workshop, and from which you expect contributions).<\/li><li>Short bios (200 words) of the organizers including their affiliations and relevant experience.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizers of accepted workshops are responsible for setting up a workshop website. They may ask any kind of contribution to be submitted by workshop participants in advance (e.g. full papers, short papers, posters, demonstrators, videos). Workshop organizers are responsible for setting up a submission system and for organizing the review process. Organizers may arrange their own publication of proceedings, e.g. through SBC Open Library (<a href=\"https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\">https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br<\/a>) or CEUR-WS (<a href=\"http:\/\/ceur-ws.org\/\">http:\/\/ceur-ws.org\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All workshop proposals will be rigorously evaluated with respect to their quality, relevance, diversity of thought and suitability for the conference.
