{"id":735,"date":"2021-05-28T10:49:38","date_gmt":"2021-05-28T10:49:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/imx.acm.org\/2021\/?page_id=735"},"modified":"2021-05-28T14:04:09","modified_gmt":"2021-05-28T14:04:09","slug":"code-of-conduct-cares","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/imx.acm.org\/2021\/index.php\/diversity\/code-of-conduct-cares\/","title":{"rendered":"Code of Conduct &#038; CARES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As organisers of ACM IMX 2021, we aim to provide a safe, respectful, and harassment-free conference environment for everyone involved regardless of age, sex, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, (dis)ability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, marital status, military status, veteran status, religious beliefs, dietary requirements, childbirth- and pregnancy-related medical conditions or childcare requirements. We also respect any other status protected by laws of the country in which the conference or program is being held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACM IMX abides by (and supports) the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.acm.org\/about-acm\/privacy-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"color:#eb2e94\" class=\"has-inline-color\">ACM&#8217;s Privacy Policy<\/span><\/a> and the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.acm.org\/code-of-ethics\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#eb2e94\" class=\"has-inline-color\">ACM&#8217;s Code of Ethics &amp; Professional Conduct<\/span><\/a>. In participating within ACM IMX, attendees acknowledge\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.acm.org\/about-acm\/policy-against-harassment\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#eb2e94\" class=\"has-inline-color\">ACM&#8217;s Policy Against Harassment<\/span><\/a>\u00a0at ACM Activities and agree that behavior such as the following will constitute grounds for actions against them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Abusive action directed at an individual, such as threats intimidation, or bullying<\/li><li>Racism, homophobia, and other behavior that discriminates against a group or class of people<\/li><li>Sexual harassment of any kind, such as unwelcome sexual advances or words\/actions of a sexual nature<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are involved in or witness any such incident, please inform the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:generalchairs@imx2021.com\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#eb2e94\" class=\"has-inline-color\">IMX General Chairs<\/span><\/a>, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:diversity@imx2021.com\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#eb2e94\" class=\"has-inline-color\">IMX Diversity Chairs<\/span><\/a> or feel free to choose another of the <a href=\"https:\/\/imx.acm.org\/2021\/index.php\/committees\/organizing-committee\/\"><span style=\"color:#eb2e94\" class=\"has-inline-color\">IMX Organising Committee<\/span><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Kate Grandprey-Shores is our <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:diversity@imx2021.com\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#eb2e94\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Diversity &amp; Inclusion<\/span><\/a> chair focused on Allyship. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also reach out to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sigchi.org\/resources\/sigchi-cares\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#eb2e94\" class=\"has-inline-color\">SIGCHI CARES<\/span><\/a> for support. CARES supports such individuals by allowing&nbsp;them to work with established members of the SIGCHI community, who are approachable&nbsp;and willing to listen and help navigate the SIGCHI and ACM reporting and accountability&nbsp;process.\u200b SIGCHI CARES does not replace the role of the General Chairs for IMX 2021 or the ACM process.
